About Me
Who Am I
Hello, I'm Jayden Seaton, a high school senior at University High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. I'm a level-headed, deep-thinker at the core of my personality, often characterized as calm and collected. An early achievement that shaped my journey was becoming a published author at the tender age of nine, igniting a lifelong love for storytelling and creativity.
Traveling has been an essential part of my educational experience, with my furthest adventure taking me to China in 2018. Immersing myself in the rich cultures of Shanghai and Beijing left a lasting impact on my worldview. In addition to my academic pursuits, I'm an accomplished athlete, lettering in track and field for three consecutive years and serving as the team captain. My passion for debate and political discourse led me to participate in the school's debate team, and I'm actively involved in clubs such as Black Affinity, UNICEF, and Young Democrats.
What I do
My interests are diverse, from my passion for history to my love for strategy video games. Beyond the track, I've actively participated in community service, leadership, and various clubs and organizations. As the President of the Indianapolis chapter of Kappa League, I've contributed to community projects and embraced leadership initiatives.
My participation in the Center for Leadership Development and BDPA Indianapolis has developed my programming skills and sharpened my leadership abilities. I'm also a member of the National Honor Society, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, and the National Society of High School Scholars, reflecting my commitment to academic excellence. My experiences also extend to the business world, with an internship at Eli Lilly and Company, where I developed an interactive project dashboard utilizing Power BI. This summer, I was sponsored to attend Hoosier Boys State and Boys Nation, where I represented Indiana as a Senator and held leadership positions.
My Future
Looking to the future, I aspire to expand my leadership roles within the school, contribute even more to the community, and ultimately attend a Military Service Academy with the goal of serving in the Space Force. My journey is driven by a thirst for knowledge and a dedication to positively impacting the world.
